Dopo sei anni e decine di mostre ed eventi, Lakeside Art Gallery è particolarmente fiera di chiudere un ciclo con Oltre la cornice, la mostra personale di Fulvio Castiglioni.
Oltre la cornice presenta una serie di lavori che svelano la natura poliedrica del vulcanico Fulvio Castiglioni e scompigliano i confini tra pittura e grafica, tra pittura e scultura e tra arte e design. Vicino al movimento art concret ma non solo, Castiglioni è il più artistico dei designer, il più svizzero degli italiani. A suo agio sia con un approccio monocromatico che una ricerca coloristica, l’artista è un fiume in piena: dipinge, costruisce, disegna e sfrutta appieno le potenzialità delle nuove tecnologie. Condivide con un suo maestro, il grande Bruno Munari, un’abilità di portare un tocco lieve e ludico al rigore della progettazione e alla serietà della creazione artistica.

Nato a Magenta (Milano) nel 1947, dal 1972 Fulvio Castiglioni vive a Zofingen nella Svizzera Tedesca dove lavora come artista e grafico. Dal 2005 ha un atelier ad Oggebbio (Verbania).

After six years and dozens of exhibitions and events, Lakeside Art Gallery is particularly proud to present the solo show by Fulvio Castiglioni, Beyond the frame.
Beyond the frame presents a series of works that reveal the versatile talent of the inexhaustible Fulvio Castiglioni and blur the confines between painting and graphics, between painting and sculpture; between art and design in fact.
Close to the art concret movement among others, Castiglioni is the most artistic of designers, the most Swiss of Italians. At his ease with both a monochromatic approach and colourist research, the artist is a torrent in full flow: he paints, constructs, draws and exploits the full potential of new technologies. He shares with one of his heroes, the great Bruno Munari, an ability to bring a light, playful touch to the rigour of designing and the gravity of artistic creation.

Born in Magenta (Milan) in 1947, since 1972 Fulvio Castiglioni has lived in Zofingen in German-speaking Switzerland where he works as an artist and graphic designer. Since 2005 he has had a studio in Oggebbio (Verbania).
